Speaker: Nimrod Moiseyev Technion
Professor Emeritus of Chemistry and Theoretical Physics at the Technion, he authored the first book ever written on non-Hermitian quantum mechanics, published in 2011 by Cambridge University Press, as well as two volumes in Hebrew on quantum mechanics, covering foundations to applications, published by Magness Press. In his work, he introduced new concepts in non-Hermitian quantum mechanics, such as the C-product and self-orthogonality, and, together with his collaborators, pioneered fields like light-induced conical intersections, time asymmetrical optical and electrical switches, and explored various effects of exceptional points on AMO physical phenomena
