There are remarkable developments now in quantum computation, and it is time to expose the scientific public to down-to-earth explanations...We are happy to announce a series of monthly afternoon semi-public lectures (for a wide audience of CS and Physics), given by top-world quantum experts, from both CS and Physics, called QUANTUM SCIENCE PERSPECTIVES, and intended also for NON-QUANTUM experts. The lectures will be given by top notch world leading researchers, and will alternate between more CS or more Physics perspectives.

The first talk of the year, will be given by Prof. Aephraim Steinberg from The University of Toronto. The talk will focus on the question of the time a particle takes to tunnel through a classically forbidden region.
