Dear Friends,

Given the remarkable developments in quantum information, approx. 3 years ago we have initiated at the Hebrew university a distinguished lecture series by world leaders, geared to a wide interested scientific audience and including a tutorial for non experts preceding the main talk.

The talks will cover topics from both physics and computer science, and will be followed by a nice reception.

Both the academic community and industry are welcome!

The upcoming lecture will be given by Prof. Edward Farhi (MIT):

Title: "The Quantum ApproximateOptimization Algorithm: What it is and recent results"

Date: March 2, 2023

The main lecture will begin at 12:00

Location: A300 Auditorium, Computer Science Building A, Safra Campus.

At 13:00 there will be a reception outside the auditorium.

For more information see: https://www.quantumperspectives.org/

Please RSVP on the page so that we can estimate the amount of food and beverages needed.

Looking forward to seeing all of you at this special event and the entire lecture series!
