Title:
Entanglement Generation in Scattering Processes via Tensor Networks
Abstract:
Gauge theories andparticle collisions provide respectively the mathematical framework and theexperimental data upon which our description of the fundamental interactions ofnature relies. We show how Tensor Network (TN) methods from many-body physics canbe applied to simulate numerically the real-time scattering dynamics of (1+1)Drelativistic lattice gauge theories.
We characterize theentanglement generated during meson-meson collisions in (1+1)D QuantumElectrodynamics (QED). Finally, we outline some steps in the generalization tonon-abelian gauge theories, such as Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD), and identifythe physical particles of a (1+1)D SU(3) lattice gauge model with two quarkflavors.
